Ary Varshney
Instructor: Trumpet
An accomplished trumpet player from the North Shore of Chicago, Ary Varshney’s musical journey is defined by versatility, creativity, and a deep passion for jazz. He has studied with acclaimed musicians Constantine Alexander, Bruce Daugherty, and Victor Garcia, developing a strong foundation not only in performance but also in technique, tone, and repertoire across both jazz and classical styles.
Ary has performed in a wide range of settings, including big bands, small combos, pit orchestras, and pep bands. He is fluent on several instruments in the trumpet family, such as piccolo trumpet, C trumpet, and flugelhorn. He has worked with renowned artists including Bijon Watson, Todd Williams, and John Fedchock, and he enjoys arranging and composing his own music.
Outside of music, Ary channels his creativity into engineering, woodworking, STEM competitions, and photography—pursuits that reflect the same curiosity, precision, and craftsmanship that shape his approach to the trumpet. Whether performing, composing, or building something new, Ary brings focus, energy, and a love for creative expression to everything he does.
As an instructor, Ary likes working with trumpet students of all ages and abilities, sharing his passion for music and helping each student develop confidence, musicality, and a lifelong appreciation for the art of trumpet playing.
